Does Mexico count their deaths the year the bodies are found, the year the dudes and dudettes disappear, or by the number of right feet they find and when?

Also hard to believe some people find fault in our president for wanting to prevent that crap from coming here.

Were any of the victims U.S. citizens? That shite has been going on in Mexico for 30+ years and you can post daily about gang violence if you wish.

If I lived south of the border, born poor with little prospects, I'd be doing whatever it takes to make it to the U.S. and work a steady job. As would anyone with any honesty or ambition reading this.

If he really wanted to stop it he'd end the war on drugs. The mythical wall ain't going to stop shite.

For context, Mexico should pass the US in *total* homicides sometime this year, if they have not already. Less than 40% the people, but even more murders.

Say baw, the title of the thread implies that since Mexican violence is markedly worse than the US, hey man it's not so bad!

You are such an idiot. This is certifiably untrue.

I talked to an older Mexican man who lives here now and he told me about life in Mexico. down there if the cartel needs a skilled worker, they idenifty one, say an electrician. Then they watch him over a period of weeks and learn everything about him. His habits, where he goes, where he lives, where his children go to school, where his wife shops.

Then they approach him one day with an “offer”. To come work for them doing whatever they need, and they’ll pay him.

Then they ask if he wants to talk to his children and hold the phone to his ear so he can hear them. Then another one with his wife, etc.

Basically no choice.

Not sure if this matters, but this is all drug related. The cartels are fricking brutal, but if you or anyone in your family isn't involved in the drug game/have ties to the cartel then you are good.

I am just saying.. It's not like they are going out and killing random people.

This might be the most ignorant thing you've ever said, and we're talking about a hell of a lot of competition here.

And how many victims of gun violence in America are not involved in drugs/gangs?
