I'd look Uptown. Between Magazine and St. Charles, from Jackson all the way to Audubon park.
ETA: second option would be to look in the WHD, you may be able to find a 1 br there for that budget, but you may also have to pay for parking.

You're just being picky to the point of impossible here. How about man up and quit bitching about it?
I have family to consider as well. I would probably just deal with it if it were only me.

Seriously, come look at Bay St Louis at least once. Your family will LOVE it. The commute down old Hwy 90 is nice.

Will you be working in the CBD?

Definitely the Uptown area that I posted then, unless you are planning on having kids soon or need a yard.

Do you want to live in suburbia? Where are you working? What kind of commute are you comfortable with?
Would you rather live more by night life? or quieter places?
I answered some of your previous questions already, but to answer these, we prefer a quieter place with a commute that isn't longer than 15-20 minutes. The job is near downtown.
We are renting for right now so we aren't looking at houses.

Are you joking? There are areas that are packed with pussy, and there are areas that are more gay friendly.
I simply wanted to know his lifestyle in order to point him in the right direction. If he said Gay I would have pointed him towards your house.

Depends on what you like to bang:
Bywater/Holy Cross/Marigny- Hippie/artsy fartsy chicks
Mid City/Uptown- house wives*
LGD/Channel: mixed salad. COuld be a house wife, artist, bartender, folk singer, doctor or lawyer. Lot of variety.
Way Uptown: house wives and Tulane girls.
CBD: professional women that drink a lot and love Vitamin D
*Pro tip: try to live near a yoga studio
