What else should they have done?
for starters. I would not have stayed stopped so close and there was no need to call cops at that point. Due to the traffic going all around them...it appears they could have created a little distance by backing up a few yards or just proceed and go around them. They don't know what she was getting from the vehicle and the truck driver could have easily stepped out and been on top of them in a second. Once she hit my car....it would have gotten ugly.

They probably werent paying attenion/talking/on their phones at the light. There mightve been a car in front of them that switched lanes and took a left turn. The car in front of them mightve scooted up. They probably werent paying attention.
The truck behind them was prob pissed at the huge gap and decided to get in it. The car then decided to either a) scoot up because they realized the gap or b) saw the truck wanting to take the gap and decided to not allow them to do it.
