That officer supposedly reviewed the video of your car breaking the law.

Haven't paid mine. I just park on private property. If I park in the street I take my plate off.
Unregistered cars can be towed off sity streets at will.
Best to cover the plate with a piece of paper or something you can remove easily.
Taking the plate off they can tag your car as unregistered and just tow it off the street. Now this won't usually happen in NOLA but it can.
You only have to fool a camera mounted on a Ford Escape or a mini van that drives around. A simple piece of paper that you got stuck in the trunk or tailgate is all you need.
(unless you park at a meter and run out of time)

hey sent me to collections.
Just pay it and move on.
Contest it and it's dropped. Did you sign for the ticket? Can they prove you were driving?
It will not hurt your credit. It can't only Yellowfin says it did, but I am still on the fence if I believe him.

They will boot your car.

This exact thread comes up about every week or so. Do a search and you'll get plenty answers.

My vehicle clearly ran a red light, i think it is horse shite.
If your vehicle clearly ran a red light, why do you think it's horse shite? It's not like it's a speed trap camera ticket. If someone ran a red light and rammed into you, I guarantee you would want them to get a ticket. I hate tickets like anyone, but sometimes they have a decent purpose.

My buddy who lived with me for a while back in the day still has his car registered to my address has had many tickets sent to my house over the last 5 years or so. He's never paid any of them. Nothing has ever happened to him.

I went a good 4-5 years and then BOOM got 2 boots in like 2 months. When you get a boot you only have o pay a percentage. I think I paid about $300 on a $1200 bill or something.
But I think they do it in spurts and it's about to get busy in the city for the holidays and lately I've been noticing more boots. I saw 3 on Magazine in about a 6-7 block stretch today while out on my bike. I actually noticed due to how frequent I passed them.

You mf'rs are lucky!!
In the state of Alabama, if you don't pay your fines or show up for your court date for traffic violations (like the op running a redlight) the court will order your driver's license to be suspended so that if you get pulled over anywhere else in the state of Alabama and they run your license, you are fricked!!! Most cops in Alabama will arrest you on the spot for driving with a suspended license. Now, you have to pay the original ticket plus court costs, and pay an outrageous amount to get your license reinstated on top of a ticket for driving with a suspended license.

Red light and speed cameras in our area are a civil penalties. That's why CONO made a decision to boot the cars in an attempt to extract the $$.
