I personally wouldn't want my credit score to take a hit after they send to collections. But, hey, that's just me. I own up to my infractions.

I'll probably go downtown 5-10 times a year. Usually for some festival or a pels/saints game.

Pay the fine or get ready for a really crappy night. Choice is yours.

Haven't paid mine. I just park on private property. If I park in the street I take my plate off.

Got one in BR. Went to court to fight it. Judge let everyone off. Saved 117 bucks.

Just don't park in the street in downtown new orleans/CBD and other places with a meter like Magazine street.

Those jackasses at the CONO are squeezing us more and more.

Throw them away. They won't put a boot on until your 5th ticket.

First one was in an area where there are meters and the second one where there are always meter maids running around.

If you don't want to pay the ticket, park off street in a lot. General parking in the city. If I had unpaid tickets I would not park on street in the areas I mentioned anytime.

Since it's you and not me, I say don't pay it. If you don't, they won't boot MY car. Be brave. Tell them to shove it.

Also, how do they have an officer tagged to this ticket? They include his badge number as well. I feel like you could go to the hearing and ask if he wasn't present during the time the violation was committed. Im mad haha

a police officer is assigned to watch the tapes and sign off that a violation did occur

Doesn't it cost around $100 to get a new license?

Just the cost of getting new registration. So you get that out of the way.

You should search, this is like the thousandth thread. I usually give illegal advice, but tire of it.

So I say this. "New plate, clean slate"

This. They boot mostly late at night and the boot vans go to every Pelicans game, Saints game and fest and drive up and around all the streets.
You have to be on the street to get booted, but you do not have to be at a meter.
