Well first off the UK is notoriously lax when it comes to punishing people for this sort of thing but secondly her dad kidnapped and held a child in the residence while she lived there. She might have not been involved legally speaking but she turned around and hired the kidnapper after he got busted for the crimes.
She's been kicked out of their version of democrats and kicked out of their fringe green party. I'm guessing the reddit people are so protective of their own little internet fiefdom that they won't admit they've made a mistake bc that would make them look weak. Hopefully this will blow up in their face.

That isn't that unusual. But being a kid and told you can't go someplace because that's your parent's space is an invitation for me to go check it out when I was a kid.

True, unless he kept it locked or something. Which would be weird, but I could see a kid thinking maybe it was “normal”.
ETA: or he knew about it and didn’t say anything and there is no proof of it.

I cant think of a group of people who have been more vindicated about the alphabet people than early to middle 2000's conservatives. I remember talking to my dad after the supreme court ruled gay marriage was legal and he said "just wait till you see the stuff that is going to come after this." Man was he right, these people are fricking sick in the head and in a proper world most of them would be in an insane asylum or preferably for this thing and her family a firing squad.

It doesn’t defend them looking the other way while this was happening under the same roof.
But it’s a high probability that they were harassed and raped as a child. It’s probably normal to them.
