Went for the first time tonight. Is it supposed to be that bad? It was terrible. Got there at 7. Got a table pretty quick. After an hour of waiting at the table, they came and said there was a problem in the kitchen and if we wanted something else. Ordered something else. Waited another 30 min. Food finally arrived. Cold. We all realized something was up when the outside areas were like a ghost town on a Saturday night, which seemed odd.

We aren't as swanky as our Nola crew. We work in plants and y'all work in restaurants and hotels. So sophisticated that we aren't sure how to interact.

It sounds like you meant to post this on the Food & Drink Board, if the Food & Drink Board was in finger paint.

This place came too late. Had this opened up 12 or so years ago when downtown was booming it would have been better. Nowadays, for all intents and purposes, Third Street is merely a shadow of itself.

Oh no. Been closed. Actually became Rasputin and now it’s Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s which I think is still open but not sure.

It’s still there. Along with Happys and City Bar. Downtown sucks

RSS has no idea what it wants to be. It is in a shitty part of town with no neighboring business to help boost their sales.

Went last Tuesday
Got there at 6:30
We were the only table in the entire place, left close to 10
There were a couple of people bowling
They were out of 2 or 3 different beers
Food took forever to come out & was tepid, it was tasty tho

It was awkward

According to some dumb bitch helmet head the fact that they even exist is racist, classist, and displaces the homeless community.

You should feel guilty for even going and even more guilty for using your white privilege by following the dress code.

If it closes maybe they could house that tire shredder there.

You’d be wrong. B&T’s, City Bar, and Happy’s are the only old ones left. Everything else has changed names and owners a few times.
Club 1913 is now Basin
Driftwood is now Stinky Pete’s
The Office is a reception hall venue
Lucy’s is closed
Roux House is now Register Bar

As for OP’s topic, Red Stick Social has terrible food service. Which is a shame because their food is decent, and the bad service and bad pr from SJW’s raising a stink over the dress code ran a lot of potential customers off. I’ve been by a few times when they’ve had crowds, and it’s a pretty cool place to drink and bowl, but I just cannot see it surviving in that demilitarized zone of a neighborhood.

The idea of RSS being some kind of live music showcase is kind of ludicrous. The acoustics in the stage area are the worst I've ever had the misfortune of hearing.

RSS is garbage. Worst service in the city which killed sales. Now that sales are gone, the kitchen is going to shite.

Such a shame bc the facility is beautiful
