Goshdarn tootin' you have to. The police will come to your place of work and put you on the redlight runners registry in front of everyone!

When I lived in New Mexico they were everywhere. A research study showed that the majority of accidents were occurring at the intersections where cameras were present. People slamming on the brakes and getting rear ended. They were subsequently all removed.

In Baton Rouge they go straight into the trash. There is no way for them to make you pay these it won't affect you at all if you don't pay

Only a cuck would pay a Baton Rouge Red light ticket

Nope.

Others have the specifics but state law is written in a way where camera tickets are unenforceable, at least outside of the People’s Republic of New Orleans.

They will call and harass you, threaten to send you to collections, etc, but have no power to enforce the fine.

Word of advice to all you lawbreakers. If you ever come to the UAE and have a rental, you best know there are cameras everywhere. Go 1 km/hr over the speed limit and you will get a ticket. Speeding and distracted driving are given out like jolly ranchers. If the cameras pick you up with your phone in hand will driving you are getting a ticket (and they will almost always pick it up). If the traffic light starts blinking green you best stop before it reaches yellow.

If you manage to get any tickets while here (they all come from cameras) you won’t be allowed to leave the country without paying.

Better sell your house and move out of BR before they raid your house for unpaid tickets.

1. No fricking way I ever go to the UAE.

Muslim lending laws are insane and a number of people who lost their jobs suddenly caught an immediate plane out of there because they would otherwise be jailed for nonpayment.

2. I don’t mind paying it in areas where it is enforceable and I did it.

It isn’t enforceable in BR and the gall of these assholes to bluster people into paying what they can’t force them to pisses me off.

If BR et all want to make this legit, change the fricking laws to make it enforceable. But they won’t do that because they will get lynched by their own constituents.

Instead, they outsource this shite to an out of state company and tel them to get what they can.

No. But if you go to court for any other offense they’ll bring it up and make you pay it then.

You broke the got dam law- pay up.

These cameras violate so many rights that they should be far more illegal than simply running a red light. Our legal system is based upon the accused being innocent until proven guilty, with the burden of proof placed on the state . The ticket is sent to the vehicle owner, not the driver which means the accused is guilty until proven innocent, with the burden of proof placed on the owner.
