People still participate in this nonsense?
I'll continue to say this. What was a great way to raise money for a charity, turned into a day for dudes to express their latent wish to be a woman, without judgement. The photos I've seen of it in recent years are unreal. Dudes now wear makeup, earrings, fake tits, etc. It's hilariously perverse. But hey, it's New Orleans.

Taking life seriously, Nola! Love it.
Meanwhile, elsewhere has too many winning life sprits whose souls resemble raisin. No clue how to even relate to anything else.
People are the difference…always. Enjoy and have a great “run”.

Wait, grown men actually go to the trouble of finding and sizing a red dress to wear, as a way of having fun? Is there like hair, nails, and a bag selection that also occurs? Is the getting plastered just a way of denying involvement in the inevitable dick play, as the "fun" part of the event?
Theres no excusing any of that away as "just a good time"

I just got back from a 30 minute walk and it already feels 100 degrees.
I’ve done the RDR one too many times in my younger years but frick man, this heat and mix in alcohol and the crowded bars and street in the middle of August is a no go for me.

It was lots of fun in my 20s but haven’t done it at least 10 years. It is every south Louisiana meathead’s Christmas morning. They love that shite.

The problem for guys is when you’re wearing a dress, where you gonna keep your phone, wallet, keys, vape?

It's a charity event you stupid frick. There are plenty of fine women out there today that will gladly take home a man in a red dress

I’m picking up ribs, chicken, and beer and watching preseason at my house all day. You couldn’t pay me enough to deal with the heat today

I went to it once wearing a red polo.
Man you’re so straight for wearing a polo shirt instead of a dress like every other guy. I’m sure you’re very comfortable with your sexuality

I love how many of these guys are so badass that they can’t even wear a half arse red dress to get drunk with smoking hot women all around on a beautiful Saturday for a charity.
But in 3 weeks some of them will let their entire existence be dictated by a bunch of 20 year old men who get paid to play a game in tights.
Spare me with the oh I only showed up in a polo cause I’m not gay!

Tell me, even a ballpark, percentage of people that actually donate or contribute to the charity. Better yet, how many do you think even know it's a charity event?
That's the issue with the RDR. It's a huge majority of asshats that do it to get smashed and wear a dress.
It hasn't been about the charity in 20 years, sadly.

Pro tip that is why you find the lightest and thinnest red dress you can find. Then you free ball like wearing a kilt. Just watch out for an updraft otherwise you will be Marilyn Monroeing the crowd with your twig and berries.
Grand Isle has their own version of it called the Red Dress Roll. You ride up and down the island in golf carts wearing your favorite red dress. At least this one raises money for a specific cause. This year I believe they are donating school supplies to every child that attends Grand Isle school.

I worked with a girl, who was "dating" one of her brother's medical partners, who we all thought ways gay and she denied he was. Come the red dress run, dude was flamboyant as all get go, face full of makeup, dressed to the T, acting queer as ever.
That's the day he came out....

The alcohol tends to minimize the others if done right.

A very small percentage of participants actually sign up and pay for the “run”.
It’s more of a pub crawl than a run.
