Kawasaki isn't standard until you get to the FastTrack series.

Guess you are a Hustler dealer. Again, try comprehension. The OP doesn't want to spend $7k for a lawnmower to cut his own yard. Wants to spend $3k.

You're a moron. A 52" raptor is exactly $3K.

Maybe where you live. I'm looking right now. NO Hustler Residential mower is under $3,400 at the biggest dealer in the city.

Commercial quality starts at $6,700

The OP said he found it at Lowe's for $3K and my local dealer has them for $3099

Why does this matter? You are berating me saying he doesn't want to spend $7K yet you bring this up? You're all over the place.

Just admit that you had no idea he could get a great residential mower with a welded deck for $3K and move on. It's OK that you were proven wrong. It happens.

In your price range you can get a Gravely with a Kawasaki engine, roughly $3300 or so.

To get a commercial deck you would need to add about $1k.

I have an Ariens 42" with a B&S Intek that has been OK. I did have to change out the jackshaft bearings at about 200 hours which I thought was early but bearing failures are a problem industry wide.

Has bushings and a stamped deck. Would not buy.

I'm not wrong. But, who cares? If he wants to buy a 54" inch deck with a welded deck, I could really give a crap. Hell, buy a 72" and be a baller.

I've got a bad boy mtz48 with the briggs vtwin.

I cut a minimum of two acres twice a week starting in a few weeks, excellent little mower.

Run an oil filter for a 3.7 jeep liberty, 0w40 synthetic, and an ounce or so of 2 cycle oil in every tank as a fuel stabilizer and to keep the valves happy when running full throttle for 3 hours straight.

Looks like the lowes models all have Kohler engines

I wonder if it's different at dealers.

Strange, I see that now too. 1.5 yrs ago when I bought mine they were all Kawasaki...even the Lowe's sold units.

What's odd is the newer scag kawi powered units have belt slippage when loaded up, but the older units that had an extra 2hp didnt.

I like a tigercub, but it isn't worth twice what a mz48 is.
