List them?

Big Dog and Hustler are the same through and through except one is red IIRC.

zackly, you don't want to not have them LED's. seat is better and hustler yellow is hideous.

Only on the Alpha vs the Raptor. The other models have the same seats.

I'm not cutting grass in the dark. Hustler has a light kit option though.

I don't think there is. I compared them once and they are the same.

FYI, in the higher priced mowers Hustler have a slightly bigger engine. Like your Big Dog Stout 48" has 21.5 HP but it's comparable model from Hustler, the FastTrack has 23HP.

Also, the highest end model Big Dog makes doesn't have the VX4 deck like it's comparable model in the Hustler line.

But at least you got some nice lights, I guess.

I'm guessing that the differences between the Bigdog Alpha and Alpha MP are the same as those between the Hustler Raptor and Raptor SD. I still don't know what those differences are, though.

i compared too when i bought model to model and i had same price plus the features, same motor exactly as hustler. I didn't lose on anything. have fun with your now big box mower.

I do. Thanks, and they have been useful on a few late evening cuts finishing up in the backyard.

You have 2 acres so just break down and get the Super 104

That's nearly 9' of cutting per pass at 11 MPH and can cut 40 acres in 4.5 hours. Plus, it has kick arse batwings.

It's a bargain at $25K IMO

Not anymore. They skimped on some stuff on the higher end Big Dogs so they could sell them for less and keep the higher end Hustler mowers for commercial guys while the higher end Big Dogs are for homeowners wanting commercial line but don't want to spend the money. That's why they have smaller engines and different decks. I almost bought a Big Dog last year and noticed the differences.

I will admit that I dislike the new Fastracks and Stouts in the Big Dog. They put one small 5-gallon tank on it and added more plastic. My FastTracks each have two 3.5 gallon tanks and no plastic on the decks. I will probably transition to all Scags as I phase out my older mowers.

A friend of mine has contracts to cut section sect 8/govt housing neighborhoods all over the state. It's nothing for him and his crew to cut 200-300 yards a day in one neighborhood. He bought one of those for some of the hoods he takes care of to speed things up. It's pretty awesome.
