An old college roommate of mine got a DUI in Slidell a few weeks ago. I know, trashy. And I agree. He's lived in Georgia for 15 years and isn't familiar with any attorneys in Slidell or the general vicinity. I'm in BR so I have no clue either.

I told him I'd ask the OT because I don't have a damn clue. Jdeval1 has 0 DUIs. I'm actually asking for an old friend

He really doesn't need an attorney unless he's got a pretty good angle to beat the case. Otherwise just Article 894 it and call it a day unless he just wants to spend a few extra thousand bucks for the same result.

894 will be hidden from his record for a few years and if he stays out of trouble it’ll eventually dissolve from his record - I believe.

He might not be eligible since he has a Georgia license (potentially).

Tell him to ride up and down 10 or 12, while he is sober, and look at the billboards. I don’t recall the specifics, but I do remember seeing a few “DWI’S?” signs out that way. It’s a big business in St Tammany, for the lawyers and prosecutors.

Getting a DUI is actually one of the classiest things you can do in Slidell. Terrible city.

Much like the name of Slidell's grandest street, this post is here to cover a wound. Coincidence...I think not.

Wtf?!?! Some murderes get less... dui laws are bs in most cases. The arresting officer has too much leeway while writing his report. .08 is way too low of a threshold. Just too many variables in play to treat each case the same

More than half of Louisiana's population would be in jail if that were the case.
