See, there ARE people that care about shoes..
They're normally called women, and they own many pairs.

...and like women, I have a favorite...
The Morgan--if you look closely, it is actually a deep blue color, not black...quite elegant I must say.
And the belt is the icing on the cake...
I had to take the pic outside so the blue color would stand out.

Elitist? The man asked and I gave my opinion. I'm older, at the pinnacle of my career and absolutely notice what others wear in the professional world. What you wear sends a signal. Sure there are professions that don't have a dress code. I happen to work in a profession that does. Why risk being thought of as a slob? For me a person who takes no pride in his or her clothing is no different than one who doesn't take care of his or her physical appearance. A sloppy person to me signals a sloppy mind. When I chose who to hire or who I want working with me on a project dress and appearance is a factor. Sorry you don't like what I have to say. You didn't ask, he did.
FYI, cordovan, or leather made from the haunch of a horse, is also a shoe color.
To the OP, good luck with your first "big boy" job. Dress for success. Flashy does not equal good taste.

Cost about $300.
Are the waterproof? What kind of faction do the get when walking through mud? How do they handle the weight of a 60 lb pack?

300 is about mid. Most of their nicer shoes are about 370.

Runningdog, you responded to me--maybe you didn't mean that for me...I agree with you!
I too am a little bit older than the average poster here and second your sentiments.

They have several styles over $1,000.

I apologize, my response was not directed to you or at you.

Magnanni? It wouldn't surprise me, but I haven't seen many of those.
Posted on 1/31/16 at 2:24 pm to SabiDojo
They look like something you would find in a hip Eurotrash bar.

Marco, what industry are you in?
The industries do differ in fashion expectations. I am in consulting engineering and the financial trading world (for example) is much different.....as is law. Just being fair to all involved.

Magnanni just isn't my style. They have several simple cap toe shoes that I'd wear, but a lot of their shoes are too "extreme" for me. I'm not wearing all those buckles or crazy designs. Even most of their traditional designs are a little pointy and such for my tastes.

Boots don't count, right?
Right?

I was extending an olive branch, but then I thought it would be better if I suggested you putting the shoes on your 911 or 458 for the shoe pic. That little stunt exposes you.......seriously.
