Most high level executive types are not into clothing or shoes. If you think they are then you have little real world experience and read too many blogs.

You could not be more off from the truth. Do you work downtown in a big city? Are you a high level exec.?

Thesoccerfanjax,

You ever wonder why Allen Edmunds is in Canal Place and not Lakeside mall?

Never. Mostly because I have no idea what those places are or where they are.

Lakeside mall is the giant mall in the suburbs of New Orleans. Canal Place is a 30+ story high rise building in downtown New Orleans. The bottom 3 stories are a shopping mall, but all high end stores.

My point was that the high end stores are near their target audience. So high end suit and shoe stores are near the large downtown towers that are full of execs that buy from them.

As far as high level executives go, you can bet your arse they all size each other up--it's all about competition. And clothing is a big part of that.
For the record, I am a high level exec., so I speak from experience.

Do you work in NOLA? I thought you said big city?

I was an exec at a firm in Miami for years....so yea. Needless to say I know a little about what high level execs in real cities wear.

I like Magnanni's look over Allen Edmonds personally for their wing tips but have never tried any on. I will be looking to pick up a pair soon to give them a shot.

Yea that "southern dandy" thing doesn't fly in FL. You'd be getting the wrong kind of attention.

I know you're not talking about Magnanni, bruh. They are handmade in Spain.

You're a high level exec, and you consider allen edmonds (it's with an o, not u) "high end?"

Yeah, I consider AE and like brands (Magnanni) to be mid-tier or upper middle class quality.

There are shoes out there that are way too rich for my blood.

Exactly. And I'm not hating on allen edmonds. I pretty much wear them exclusively.

I wear suits that cost anywhere from 1,100 to 1,500 bucks. But, if I go to Mozingos, one jacket will cost me about 5 grand.

There's quality, then there's rich.

Neither am I. I have AE's, Magnannis, and one pair of Cole Haan (before they went to complete shite).
