Lol @ you wasting $300 on a pair of sunglasses.

Maui Jims aren't cheap. I didn't say I spend that...I said I limit myself to that. I think I spent that much one time maybe.

Maui Jim, wear them all day, driving, fishing, driving in hard rain. They're perfect. Had 3 different sets of Costas before and the frames would always break or deteriorate from sunblock.

I gotcha. I typically buy ray bans for $100-$120. $300 just seems excessive.

Someone gave me a $200 gift card to sunglasses hut for some new shades. I found a pair of Maui Jim’s I likes and still had to fork over another $150.

They’re not for everyone but the couple pairs of Krewe sunglasses that I have owned have never failed me.

I laugh that people are getting bent out of shape about spending $300.00 on glasses. If that’s a comfortable buy for you, and you like the glasses. Who cares?

Raybans

Raybans are cheap pieces of shite made by Luxottica. Do not buy any sunglasses made by them, unless you're ok with paying 3x the price for the brand name for something that isn't worth it.

I'm a big fan of Sunski. They're polarized, around $50, lifetime warranty on the frames, and look great.

I wasn’t bent out of shape but Maui Jim’s prices went up significantly in the past 5 years or so.

Raybans

I have Ray Bans and I like them, but got a pair of Revo as well (for free as part of the GFs president's club trip to Hawaii #notsosubtlebrag) and I like those quite a bit because they have small grips on the nose and arms so they don't slide down if you are sweaty or have sunscreen on.

I also asked a friend who is a sailing instructor out in California what brand he recommends, because his job requires him to be in the sun all day every day and he suggested Kaenon. I checked them out and really like the looks of some of them...so maybe add those to the consideration set.

I definitely don't hate these. He told me about all the features and stuff, but looks are equally as important.

fyi if you buy your raybans at macys they will freaking bend over backwards to service them/replace them if you have any problems.

when you spend $100-$200 on a pair of sunglasses its nice that someone will replace them if they get scratched for free.

Maui Jim's, Costas and krewe

I have had all three and many pairs of all the other major brands and imo these are by far the best imo.
