If you did not want to pay the fee, how would you go about dealing with this?

Pay the fee. Too much of a headache otherwise.
Got one here in Texas, thought about not paying it but I agree that it didn't seem worth the hassle.

1. It said it could hit my credit for not paying.

2. Since Texas does state inspections, it said I would not be issued my next year's inspection if it's not paid. Not sure if that was true or a scare tactic, but it worked enough for me to send over the $75.

Camera tickets are unconstitutional. If you go to court and fight it, you'll win.

Don't pay it, but for dang sure don't ignore it either. Thing is, they can't prove you were driving the car. Even if you were. Another poster said something about asking to question your accuser. There isn't one. Camera tickets like that have no standing, all they're hoping for is for people to get the ticket, say "oh shite" and mail off the fine. Google it....lots of good answers there.

Uhhh... Just don't pay it? They can't do shite about you not paying it.

Unless you're scared about a private, commercial company in AZ... I tell them to kick rocks and stop running up on my jock...

That said... I can't park downtown in the foreseeable future because of "fear for the boot"

TX combined the registration and inspection into 1 sticker. so depending on when you register in relation to when you were last inspected, you may not need inspection until the next year.

My F150 check fuel inlet indicator has been on for 3 years. It won't pass indirection because of it. Therefore I obtain one illegally every year. Did I just tell on myself?

I got one in the mail last week from NOLA. I'm not paying, when they fix the streets, I'll pay it.

Yes you do. I just got my plates about a month ago, you have to get the inspection before you can go and order your plates, they won't give it to you without it.

It's bundled into the registration but you do have to get an actual inspection.

So how do they legally tell you it'll hit your credit and won't be able to renew your inspection?

Seems like someone would have fought this and had them forced to remove the incorrect literature in the paperwork, no?

I'm in TX and had this happen to me, I called the DMV and after receiving a scolding for not taking my plates from the old vehicle at the time of the sale,

You don't have to remove the plates when you sell a car in Texas. I mean, you can if you want to , but don't have to.

Texas DMV has an online vehicle transfer form. You fill it out. If any violation shows up in the mail, simply send a copy of that form. No worries.

When we sold my wife's car, we completed the form out with the buyer. Easy-Peasy.

They mailed ticket to you. You have been traced. Is this a real question?

If you are a resident of NOLA you may not want to ignore. If they can determine that you're they owner they may boot your new vehicle if found parked on the street.
