Father is demanding that the school "do something". Plenty of other parents chime in, backing his calls, and sharing their own stories of these kids being bullied. It's all very sad. Other parents also demand school "do something".
If it's truly bad then it sounds like the parents need to do something. Whether it's teach their kids to band together and administer group arse-whippings on bullies or talking to the bully's/ies' parent(s) this may be something the school isn't equipped to handle.

Then I as the father would go to his house, beat the shite out of his dad infront of the kid
That's probably going to be worth about 4-12 weeks in jail. But I guess you got your message across.

Social media has made bullying worse. The kid can't go home and escape from the bullying without it continuing online. I'm not saying I completely agree with this theory, but in some cases i suppose it has some merit.
There have been multiple documented cases of children killing themselves over social media bullying , so that point is dead on.
Now myself, I believe bullying to a point is just part of growing up, but only to a point and far too few parents seem willing to step in when their child becomes a bully.

Bullying today is more than getting shoved around on the play ground, it is often taken to the point of destroying a kid's life, especially among girls.

Kid has done karate for a few years.
I had a friend growing up that would get bullied from time to time. He was smaller than most but he was trained in Karate. He would never challenge anyone who bullied him.
On one occasion, this dumb oaf fricked with him and went too far and my buddy beat the living shite out of him. Totally kicked his arse without getting touched in return. Never had another problem with a bully again.

Someone was messing with my kid in middle school. I approached kid and told him if he didn't stop, I was gonna rip his arm off and beat him with the bloody end. I said your choice. Nice way or not nice way. He chose wisely.

Displaced,
I agree with you on getting rid of zero tolerance policies and letting boys be boys in terms of fight and get it over with. Serious question though, what do you do if your daughter is bullied? I’m struggling to imagine the proper response to a 9-15 year old girl being bullied other than ignore them, they don’t mean anything.

Bullying can frick you up. I had a brother (rest his soul) 4 years older than me and he tormented me all through childhood until I was like 13. It gave me a lot of unresolved anger into adulthood. It made me really aggressive towards bullies so I was always fighting bullies and loud mouths in HS and I was ready to go at Murpheys fighting guys twice my size, and I had problems at work up the chain if I felt disrespected. Getting beaten up constantly as a kid by my brother (I mean bloody) didn't make me cower but it made me way too aggressive. I seriously didn't resolve it until I was in my 30's and it hurt my life. And to this day I have the same recurring nightmare.
I say this because if something cuts your soul enough it can linger. My brother, btw made amends around the time I was 13/14 and was a great brother until his death.

A female relative of mine was being bullied by a boy back in the early 90's. Not to the extent your daughter has been bullied, but it was still bad. So one morning she drank a shite-ton of orange juice and milk, and got on the bus. He started up with his shite, so she puked all over him. Acted like it was an accident, etc. and got cleaned up, but she later told him she would puke on him every day until he stopped.
He stopped.
Just a suggestion...

If my child were hardcore being beat up by a bigger kid, I would not be above hiring a bigger kid to whip that kid's arse.
