Not if he’s going to a destination location for a suicide. You can easily go through that in 12 hours. Seriously, there’s a sizable chance he’s bought a one way ticket somewhere. Here’s some advice:

1) Call the police.
2) Think of locations that may be dear to him, since he’s likely to return to them if he thinks this is it.
3) Check on all social media for him.
4) Network with as many mutual friends as possible. Have them all let him know through any possible source that they love him. His life is literally on the line.
5) Be a resource to his family.

$1200 actually seems to be a bit small for a suicide run to be honest. He’s not going to buy a weapon, he’s just hoping he’ll be killed through other means, whether that is alcohol poisoning, getting hit by a bus, or be killed by some shady character. Think of his happy place, since that is most likely where he is (or at least some variance of that happy place).

Leaving his phone and wallet is never a good sign, but if he left his wallet and took $1200 with him, is there any chance someone else is involved?

I guess his cell phone could answer some questions. Whether or not he was in contact with anyone questionable. Of course there is always the chance of communicating with a burner phone,

Maybe he used the money to engage in something before decided to end it?

If he had access to more than $1200 and only took $1200 then gambling might be less likely. Someone with a gambling problem is likely taking all the cash they can get their hands on. But how much money he took $1200 of might connect some dots.. Maybe?

If he took $1200 out of $2000 then I doubt it is gambling. If he took it from $50k, maybe he wanted to make sure he wife had the money?

You can do a lot of drinking with $1200. Are the cops involved?

Leave him alone. He is probably just processing some mistakes. He isn't missing. Just doesnt want to be found.
