I held out for a long time but I love my kindle. I tend to keep books because I reread them and they take up too much space. I also love to be able to just start another book in the middle of the night if the one I'm reading is not great.
The kindle store did remove their recommended for you thing. Now it's just all best sellers and things they are paid to push

I often find reading on a device is akin to studying on a computer. With the internet at your fingertips it's too easy to get distracted.

You should try Charmin. Much more pleasant on the ol wagon wheel.

I can understand. Something about the smell of a fresh playboy chubs me up.

The main reason I like mine is the convenience. Download and start reading.

It's easy as hell to buy books. If you use book bub you can find cheap deals. Also-I have 900 books in my kindle. I real A LOT. I don't want 900 books in my house and I'm not wasting my time reselling or giving away 900 books.

Exactly.
Plus, if I'm close to finishing a really good book I can do so on my phone at work

I rather e-books, I don't have to keep around a bunch of books and I always have my phone with me so I am always strapped with whatever I am reading.. So its available all the time.. I don't keep an actual book on me at all times.

I wasn't thinking that too...I don't own an e-reader, but the thought of reading a real book that I have to carry with me someplace is the reason I don't often read real books. My phone is always with me and much lighter than a book. Don't need an e-reader with the Kindle app.

I like going to a book store and browsing. Not a fan of hipster EBooks.

I love my Kindle Paperwite. I can't read a book on my phone or a tablet, but the paper white is awesome

Library and the overdrive app, ftw. I RARELY pay a dime for a book and getting an ebook saves me the trip to the library to pick it up.
Btw, believe it or not, BR's library system is pretty damn solid.

Sales could be going down because kindle unlimited and other "Netflix" style book sites.
Pay a flat rate a month and get free books.
Now if total downloads are down as well....

I've had a kindle for about 7 years. I love it. I have ready so many books on it. I like the convenience of buying a book instantaneously and being able to read it.
I do agree that some of the best sellers are just as expensive as the paper versions. I have never understood that. But that's really similar to purchasing digital music.

Depends on the type of book. If it's just entertainment, I like E-Readers. If it's self help or philosophical I want print so I can write in the margins.

So we're just done with phrasing, right, that's not a thing anymore?

I bought a kindle paper white about a year ago and absolutely love it. You can highlight, take notes, and bookmark pages. Until I have a home with a dedicated library, I'm all about e-books.
