People would rather have a book at a bar or coffee shop then appear to be stuck with their phone glued to their eyes.

Kindle fanatic here.

I picked up a hardcopy in the airport the other day because my Kindle was dead, and I've never felt more "first world problems" than when I was reading this hardcopy and all I could think about was how annoying it was that I couldn't hold it with one hand and read. I had to use my other hand to turn the page, and the book cover was sliding around, and it was the worst.

Kindle reading is the bomb.

I like the convenience of downloading books instantly, always having access to read on my phone if I'm waiting for an appt, etc. But mostly, like being able to read ebooks know my IPAD in the dark just before I go to sleep.

I dk what the hell you guys are talking about, I read for at least an hour every night and love having the convenience of doing it on my IPAD. I don't need to "show off" my books in some book case because I'm not that concerned with showing off.

Also it saves a ton of space AND I can read with the lights off since my wife is usually asleep next to me

There are a few public libraries that let nonresidents pay a yearly fee to access their eBook collections. Brooklyn and Charlotte are the two largest.

I like both. If it is a fave book I usually have a real print version and Kindle version. I like that I can keep a whole library on my Kindle with no clutter. I also like a few book cases with classics and fave titles. Am learning to dump the lesser titles and pop trendy best sellers from my shelves. Less dust and clutter.
