Most women will say that if a man smells good it automatically makes him more attractive. When I get unsolicited compliments In the office it makes my day that much better.

And yes, 1 or 2 squirts of cologne is still detectable from this distance.
Two drops in a sink full of hot water with this one.
Now the light blue, spray it.
Smells like a pack of clove cigarettes

And I suppose it does stand to reason the scents they enjoy will be those they will equate with masculinity.
Whiskey, wood, tobacco, spices.

there is nothing worse than the guy at the office, or out for drinks, that you can smell from 10 ft away.
They're probably wearing too much cologne

It completely depends on the scent. Some are stronger than others. I mainly use body wash but when I do use cologne, you can only smell it when you're right next to me.

I still wear this.
That fragrance gets tons of hate, but some love it. The opening is pungent but the drydown is a violet powerhouse that I am addicted too. Nice presentation, nice Heritage, and this is my rainy day cold weather fragrance. Haters can scoff and be damned.

Polo makes an after shave for all its lines, and they are much less potent smelling than the cologne or eau de toilette. You have to ask for them.
I wear the Polo Blue. It literally makes the ladies cream their panties when I walk by.

I just don't see the point. If you shower regularly, and use deodorant, what is the point?

Spinoff: one of my teachers in HS was overheard saying her favorite perfume was "Prince Match My Belly." She had a hard time living that one down.

I can't remember having to wear cologne since I wore Polo in high school.
I find that women love the nice fresh shower smell, and nice smelling shampoo. Oddly enough, the fresh smell of Downy fabric softener gets a lot of comments.
Lesson: Just be clean.

I have a variety of fragrances, from after shaves to edts and edps (approx 50) Scents are very subjective but I just want to smell “good.” Knowing when and where to wear certain fragrances can go along way.
For instance the aftershave you picked does not look like a summer wear, but in the fall/winter or maybe even a cool spring or summer evening it might be awesome.
For summer, the Gillette cool wave after shave is one of my go too. Pinaud citrus musk is also an option. Now once we get into some cooler weather in oct etc, then I might get into my pinaud clubman, pinaud special reserve and old spice.
Also, some fragrances are deemed “safe” and inoffensive but not likely to make a distinct impression and others are not as safe but can really appeal and stand out to certain audience. It is useful to have some of both in your rotation.
applying these principles can make the fragrance seem less out of place, thus make it feel more natural to wear and less like an “old man.”
