Would consumers rather lose their phones or their wallets? KPMG surveyed 10,000 adults in China, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and asked that very question.
Some 42% of consumers in India, 36% of consumers in China, 35% of consumers in the US, and 21% of consumers in the UK say they feel a strong sense of anxiety if they leave their mobile phone at home when they go out.
Most consumers in the US (74%), the UK (61%), and India (57%) say they would rather lose their phone than their wallet.
However, 71% of consumers in China say they would rather lose their wallet than their phone.

A wallet, even with cards and identification, is so much cheaper to replace compared to a phone.

Wallet. Much cheaper than buying a new phone
Cancel the cards and get new ones with not too much trouble

Depends on how much cash I’m carrying. Replacing a phone through insurance may be cheaper

Phone. At least you can attempt to track it. Or get a friend to call or text you with hopes that someone who isn't trashy found it and will reply

this question is basically, how much money is it worth to not have to go to the DMV

How in the blue hell would someone call or text you if you had lost your phone

My phone. I can get a new one the next day. If I lose my wallet, then that means having to go get a new license, losing the money I have in it, having to get new cards, etc, etc..
I think I can go a day or so without my phone.

I can replace my cheap android phone more easily than my DL and credit cards.

It’s not that difficult

Wallet. Can turn credit cards off easily and I know which OMVs don't have lines.

Hmmm... Not sure which would be more difficult. I think probably wallet would be harder to replace I guess. Replacing the phone is just a one stop issue. I'd have to do a whole bunch of stuff and it would take some time to replace all the credit cards and id's and stuff in my wallet. I would probably even have to take time off from work to replace my driver's license. I could just stop by the phone store after work. Phone would cost more money to replace though. Credit card companies will replace their stuff for free, and I think a driver's license is like $30-$40.

I thought everybody on the OT were ballers? Who cares about the cost associated with replacing a phone. A man doesn't lose his wallet you broke frickers.
