I always thought the Ohio flag was interesting...being the only non-rectangular one. It looks like some kind of a maritime pennant. Ironic since nothing about Ohio reminds me of the sea.

Lafayette has a nice flag as well that also represents the Acadiana region, but there's a push to make a new Acadiana region flag that includes African influences.

I'm a homer, but Arizona's flag is awesome.
The only one in OP's top ten I can't get behind is Maryland. It looks like two ugly flags that look nothing like each other stuck together.
