I will trade my 2019 in for one of these if there aren't a bunch of glitches

Here's the first glitch

Is this going to be a truck or a full-size 2 door SUV like the original?

Because everything since covid has been a disaster as far as quality goes. The new fuel efficient engines in the Rams have had major problems and nobody is buying them. Mine has 200k miles on it without serious problems

This has to be the dumbest shite I've heard of. Why not just put a generator in the bed instead of wasting a perfectly good engine just to charge the batteries.

And when the batteries are depleted, you can’t drive the truck, even though you have a perfectly good engine under the hood. Strange. There should be a button that would switch to engine power only…at least for emergencies.

What. Just put a damn normal motor in there.

It does have a normal engine, which turns a generator.

This is going to be much more efficient than a standard driveline and offers lots of cool operational possibilities. Its the way this whole hybrid thing should have been done from the beginning.

the motor charges the batteries

Exactly there is no reason for a 300hp V6 to run a generator. Hell I run my 2500SqFt house with a 28hp twin cylinder on my generator.

SHould be very efficient. The motor will charge the batteries at a steady state in the most efficent range of the motor. If you drive it without hotdogging, it should get great mileage.

Im trying to think of a way to explain this to yall but I just dont think I could do it.

Just Google how a locomotive works. That's how this truck will work, with the addition of batteries to store excess energy when its available. Its going to work great.

this is a widely used engine in ram/dodge products. the cost of designing it has already been paid. maybe for them it makes no sense to redesign when they have an engine they are comfortable with. not to mention this is a 130kw generator, which could run 10 houses.

Thank the Lord they are bringing back the V8. Best news I’ve heard in awhile.
Sanity may be returning.

If they get rid of that gay arse knob and bring back the center console shift, I might be interested.

Nothing says 'I ain't gay' like insisting on grabbing onto a stick shift.
