It'll be a tough decision for me between another Tundra or Ram Eco. I known few guys who have them and love it. RAM is still not getting the credit that they deserve because of their past issues.

I had a cheapo gas one as a rental. Rides nice. Gotta step up in price to get a good interior though. I hate the knob shifter but that would never make me not buy a truck

I like my Ecodiesel but will probably trade it in once this lawsuit from the government is over. I'm sure I'll get a recall notice.

Yes, in about 3 years time, that is how much you will have invested in the truck and repairs.

I'll likely never buy a post-2007 diesel unless all the EPA stuff is yanked off of it. Lot of older diesel engines with 500k or more miles. I'm not sure any of the newer ones will get to 300k on a regular basis.

I kind of agree on diesels from 2007 and later years. With all the extras that are installed on the engines, I feel that it is canning up the beast of what a diesel engine suppose to be.
Still running my 2004 Dodge with the best Cummins engine that was ever installed in them, the 5.9L.

Guy at my work just had a major engine repair at around 65K. Work truck, too, so he had immaculate maintenance history.
Must have been a Monday or Friday built truck

agree 100% regarding a personal, everyday use truck. They've ruined what a diesel engine is, does, and can be IMO with all the enviro shite they put on them. Still wish I'd have kept my 06 Duramax. Difference between that one and the 2014 6.7 I had was pretty striking.

let us know when the dash falls off and or it leaves you on the side of the road due to electrical or transmission issues.

Rams get a bad rap. Had two and zero problems.
I know a guy who delivers for AirStream and has three rams in his barn with over a million miles each. He was pissed the dealers wouldnt take them just to put on display.
FWIW, though Fiat/Chrysler are the devil

Thanks, corrected my error.
Doesn't change my experience between the two trucks though.

I knew it was a typo. Just giving you a hard time.

I have a 2015 Ecodiesel with 43K on it. Zero problems. About 6 months ago, I did get an intermittent CEL that indicated a problem with the 3-way coolant valve. It went away, so I'm guessing it was temporarily stuck.
I get a combined 23-24 MPG or so with mixed driving. The low-end torque is phenominal, and I have nothing but great things to say about it.
The brand new Ecodiesels have an EPA software fix built in, so when I get my next one, I'll be purchasing a mild GDE tune to disable the EGR and reduce the regenerations by 80% or so.
Engine aside, the truck is awesome too. Fit and finish is extremely good, and the truck doesn't have even the smallest rattle or squeak over bumps.
Enjoy it!

"Zero Problems" and then tells us about intermittent CEL light

I don't have any problems with the engine. 3 way coolant valve is used on many FCA products, and is not part of the engine.
