My level of fatigue has reached a new high. I am tired of funding families that I have no connection to. Yeah, I do not have any children of my own just yet. However, somewhere my money that I actually work for is raising some bum's kid.
This stems from my dumb decision to run into dollar general yesterday. Ole boy in front of me is checking out a grocery buggy full of bullshite and bragging about his Louisiana purchase card. He says to the cashier "you can't make it out if you don't try". How about learning some skills and contributing to society? Nah, he will just buy another Louisiana purchase card from another bum and celebrate it like he accomplished something.
This is bullshite. I could go on for multiple paragraphs, but my lunch is over so I have to go back and clock in some hours for my mooching arse family that I will never meet.

You probably pay less in income tax than you consume. Thank corps and Brother Elon for financing your government services

He knows he’s a leach. That’s him trying to justify it to himself because he actually feels shame. Unlike a lot.

Brother my 19 month old took off his diaper this morning and left a trail of rabbit-like poop balls all over the kitchen.

I heard this today and googled it

These are abled bodied men who in the prime working age which choose not to.

This shite doesn't fly in my world or family

Prime-Age Men Not in the Labor Force:
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that a large number of men aged 25-54 are not in the labor force (neither employed nor actively seeking employment). In October 2024, this number was 6.84 million.

Depends on circumstances.

If I’m 35 and I have $10m and live frugally and I’ve set myself up to not run out of money, you can bet your arse my time is going to be spent on my hobbies. No way am I working.

Would you be in a dollar general using an EBT card in this scenario?

I mean, welfare and deadbeats suck. But I assume the vast majority of your tax dollars go towards your security (national defense) and all the infrastructure you use on a daily basis.

Edit: quick search tells me I'm probably wrong. But still, there's a lot of shite you actually use that you're taxes pay for. And a lot you don't

That's hard to do for a young, single healthy guy with no kids who also works fulltime.

And before you say "roads" remember that roads are built and maintained from state and federal taxes collected at the gas pump. The more you drive, the more you use the roads, bridges, etc. and the more tax you pay at the pump to pay for that use. As it should be.

We all know and accept that we live in a society of givers and takers. But let's not act like the wealthy are the only givers.

You probably have a nice home, vehicle, and can buy whatever you want. Yet, you’re jealous of a guy on food stamps.
Reevaluate your life, and thank God for your blessings!
