Almost as if this is the beginning of the high river season. But naw, let's freak out.

Better get the grass cut now. It'll be knee high when it's dry again.

An old black man who has lived by the river and was a sharecropper told be the river was going to get as high as its ever been this year. If you can't believe him then who can you?

I have some projects going on along the river. We are trying to get excavations and concrete pours done before the corps of engineers shut us down.

It's higher than it normally is this time of year and all that rain they got in the Ark/Missouri and the Ohio River valley is just coming down now plus the snow in the upper midwest hasn't melted yet.

Define a while. This year? Ten years? 100.

What kind of stupid reference is that?

All of Louisiana is looks to be on the boundary between very little accumulation, but most likely to get 1-2 inches, with the possibility of several inches.

shite, I agree with lnch. I'm gonna go drown in the river now.

I could do without every weather update I get on any device notifying me for the last fricking month that we're in a flood warning until [DATE KEEPS MOVING OUT]. They're fricking annoying. All I need it to warn me of are severe thunderstorms and tornados. That's it. I'll figure anything else out in the 2 weeks that it takes to hit me.

fricking Accuweather.
