Expelling a 4 year old for not wanting to be best friends with another kid. Dumbest shite I've heard of.
My kid could be not best friends with someone because they wore long sleeves.

If the roles were reversed would the Muslim get kicked out?

He should be expelled, too

Your child better not eat a Pop Tart into the shape of a gun or that’ll be his arse

Maybe the child stated the friend has ‘brown skin’ as a mere observation- what if she would’ve said pink bow or blue shoes?
It should’ve been a learning experience because now the little girl was removed from her best friend because of the brown girl. And that may instill racist judgments

A 4 year old has essentially zero understanding of racism.
Daycare sounds like a virtue signaling disaster and “zero tolerance” for a 4 year old, for something with so much nuance, is beyond stupid.
If they said they didn’t like them because they were a girl and had cooties, would they be branded a sexist and expelled? We are talking about a human that just recently learned how to not s*** in their pants.

The kid heard it from somewhere, but there’s no way to know it came from the parents.
Not necessarily. Kids notice and identify all kinds of obvious physical features in others as their brains are rapidly growing.
My daughter pointed and laughed at a dwarf walking out of Barnes and noble when she was 3. She had never seen an adult that small. She said look how small he is daddy he’s really silly. She obviously didn’t hate dwarfs but she didn’t know how else to express her bewilderment about the situation because she was fricking 3.
My other kids have been told they weren’t someone’s friend for an array of physical differences.
Not everything is sinister.

Well no, because it was a teachers child.

Kids spew a bunch of things
Third grade, 1979 or 1980, me and this girl were running around at recess and hollering at each other. For whatever reason, she called me a "slut" so I started calling her that back.
Eventually some teacher grabbed me and said, "Hey...what did you just call her?" "A slut!" I said. "Why?" "Because that's what she called me so I said it back!" "Do you know what that word means?" she said. "No, what?" "Don't worry about it. Stop saying that and fighting with each other and go play."
Today, it would be national news and I'd have been cancelled as a cisgendered heteronormative boy oppressing a girl through my male privilege thanks to eons of patriarchy. Then, I was told to stop it and to go play.

Exactly. The lesson learned by the kid is probably “better not mess with brown people or I will get punished” instead of actually instilling compassion. These types of policies will not end racism, just breed more closet racists.

4 year olds don’t have the complex thought capability to even be racist.
Their concrete thought processes are merely applied to the concept of “that is different to what I know”.
It is like babies reacting differently to people of different races.
They understand nothing and merely respond to something “different” with varying degrees of intensity or curiosity.

Canceling kids at 4? Seems like liberal logic. The kid most likely has no idea what they meant saying that. Prob should try talking to the kid and parents.

Seems like the school would have a bit more compassion and use it as a teaching moment.
Makes way too much sense. Modern schools are nothing more than little indoctrination centers now.

Zero tolerance anything for toddlers is pretty stupid IMO.

If he had said he wouldn’t be someone’s best friend because they had white skin, it would be fine.
Therein lies the issue.
Instead of hearing, listening and trying to teach, we try to punish.
No wonder this world is broken

I mean the school not you. What a dumb rule. 4 year olds don’t understand most shite they say or know what it means.
