10 years before I popped the question. We lived together for 3 of those years.

My first marriage (and last), my wife's second. She brings me breakfast in bed every morning without fail.

Ms.Scoob will get hers after 1 year of dating. If we were a bit younger I may have drug my feet a bit more but I'm getting to the age where my kids will graduate HS and I will be mistaken for their grandfather.
4 Months is quick but it all depends on them.

Does SHE have money? I have a friend who said, "You can marry more in a minute than you can make in a lifetime."

I knew immediately
I'd have married her on the spot after a week
as it was we waited a year so she could plan

Are you directing that question to me or the OP?
The answer would be no, she does not currently fall into the category of filthy rich or I would have put a ring on it 11 months ago.

3 years? You aren't in the clear yet. Statistically, you're in primetime divorce territory.

Dated for 2 years and engaged for one. I knew much sooner but we were young. I don't fault people that pull the trigger quickly. In my opinion, you should know pretty quickly if you want to marry the person you are with.

2 of my best friends (females) met their husband, got engaged within 2-3 months of dating, and are now married with kids.
I personally don't think it's a recipe for success long term, especially when you meet someone in your early 20's (your most formative mental years)

FWIW, we got engaged after six months. Just went past year 20. We were also 30 when we got married.

I've seen some super quick engagements lead to good marriages, and people who "thought it through" a long time end in disaster.

That's about how long my wife and I dated prior to getting engaged. It's admittedly a quick courtship, but not unheard of. Of course, we knew each other a while longer than that and we didn't get married for over a year after.
