How do you store/display your shoes? How do you determine which shoes will likely hold their value or appreciate over time? What are some of your favorite shoes? Any strategies for buying/selling?

I’m thinking about getting into it as a way to help decorate my man cave (I know that word sucks but it is what it is) with something that has a chance to appreciate in value.

I have a large problem with buying shoes and never wearing them. Dumb I know lol.

I store mine with Silica packets to reduce miscoloring, but aside from that just leave them in their boxes.

Favorite shoes are Jordan 11’s and Yeezy 350’s.

I got through the yeezy splash page three times for the blue tints earlier this month and got my girlfriend a pair, myself one and then sold the cart with a third pair for $400, or $180 more than the shoes retail for.

Shoes that appreciate in value. So bizarre.

If you're looking for value, Nike SBs are absolutely bottomed out and can only go up from here.

Unless you have a direct plug at a boutique, the margins are too low to make any real cash as a side hustle - you'd be much better off botting up concert or theater tickets. Maybe watches.

As for favorite sneakers,

Jordan 11’s are a timeless beauty. Nice choice.

Not sure how I feel about the yeezy’s.

You have to stay on top of the latest releases and most importantly know people. Or be prepared to spend a ton on the secondary market for the rare pairs. In my experience, raffles are near impossible to win. Also, going to Dick’s and buying a pair of Nikes =/= sneakerhead. Sneakerheads are fanatics.

That’s why I posed the question to the degenerate sneakerheads, not the adults. As long as you are here, though, any tips on how to properly tuck my shirt into my shorts? What kind of socks to wear with my sandals? Best hairspray for achieving the perfect combover?

Hot take: Most Jordans are ugly and people just buy them for the logo. Don't @ me
