I had 3 Abita Ambers with dinner at around 7 PM. Got pulled over at 9:30. I fought it and it was dropped.

Did you have to blow or was it just failure (opinion) of the field sobriety test?

How many beers/drinks did you drink that night? I just saw that the Cowboys player who killed his teammate after drinking and driving had 17 drinks that night.

Honestly, I don't know how someone knows they had exactly 17 drinks. When I got mine, I had no idea how many I had, but it was a lot. Beers, shots, etc. Was young and stupid.

I was stopped by ABC on Gameday and I only had my passport on me. Dude tried to tell me that he needed my information because he had seen fake passports before. I busted out laughing and told him I'm not an international spy, why the frick would I need a fake passport.

is bringing a passport to the game a standard LA thing? Cause it strikes me as slightly odd.

I can't imagine getting behind the wheel after putting down that many.

Probably had little knowledge of it.

Alcohol strongly affects he frontal lobe which affects your judgement. The time to take precautions is long before you start drinking, not after.

Never got pulled over but there were nights when I drove after 12+ drinks.

Quit driving after a few beers after a good friend got one the same night I drove drunk.

Now I live in NY and it's pretty nice not ever having to worry about drinking and driving.

when I was little living with my uncle we were pulled over. We were both drinking but he was driving and he had quite a few beers. The cop let him go since I was sick

I was wasted. At least 15 beers, maybe more. In hindsight, if I could kick my own arse for driving that night I would. Ouachita Parish Deputy pulled me over and we went through the field stuff and I failed miserably. I blew but barely. Machine would not read and he said, f it, we are going to continue this at the station so he puts me in the squad car. We are going down a one way in Monroe by Northeast campus and I see a car coming right at us and fast. Even hammered, I knew the person driving that car was way more wasted than me. Deputy was like holy shite, look at this. The other driver is within 50 meters and a head on is imminent even with the lights flashing and his siren blaring when another car pulls in front of him. BOOM!. Big wreck and he has to work it now since he is first on the scene. It takes forever for me to get switched to another patrol car. I bet I didn't get to the station for 2 hours, maybe more. Enough to sober up a lot. By the time I blew, I was a .09. Saved my arse, because I got some Article that got it off my record being under .1.

I think after 17, you're at the blackout point where you no longer know what you're doing or remember it.

I honestly don't. I vaguely remember being pulled over and I had people in the car with me. I could have killed all of them and me. Total dumb fricking move.

I was so lucky because I got it removed from my record and ended up getting into Law Enforcement briefly about 3 years later. I got harassed a lot by the guy that arrested me. He rode my like a horse for being drunk as shite that night. I actually had to grab his arm once to keep from falling down.

Never gotten one. Knock on wood. But I never drive if I've drank more than a 6 pack even though I know I can.

I passed the field sobriety IMO, but told him I had drank at dinner. He took me in to blow, never asked me if I would. He did all of his paper work then asked me to blow and I told him no. He wasn't very happy with me.

I've blown .08 after 2 beers that were around 7%-8% abv. It was on a handheld thing a friend had, so who knows the accuracy of it. I'm 155 lbs.

I got one in 2004 and blew a .08... I was like, "Dude, let me just chill for like 20 minutes and I'll be fine... I AM fine..."

Mine was in 92. Deputy was not really happy because it would not read. I fainted blowing but didn't try that hard. I think I told him his machine was fricked up.
