It's the VA they can't prescribe and it's 2016 on the edge of being legal. I don't know why you call bullshite.

Well smoking legal or illegal yes. It's still on the background check asking if you do illegal narcotics. Even if I was in a legal state/prescribed it's still a illegal narcotic in the governments eye. Also I'm in Illinois and I'm assuming if I get a medical card it would void my FOID card with Illinois State Police.

Weed is still illegal on the federal level.
Only way you could have both is to
1)Lie on federal background check if buying new gun
2) live where you do not need a medical card for weed (recreational)
3) never get caught holding both at the same time

Dumb that the VA can't prescribe marijuana. Seems like an obvious choice to help a lot of vets with ptsd .

Yeah it is dumb. Even crazier that FDA guidelines prohibits Xanax for PTSD/Anxiety diagnoses.

Yep it's one of those things most ppl don't think about. Like I said I assume it would especially flag here in Illinois with my FOID card.

Yeah I'll definitely bring it up. I guess it's that thing that if I bring it up with people who I am friendly with I don't want them to judge me. Honestly though it doesn't make me less of a person. Every one has their vices.

Just ask around in your classes. You're in college, odds are most around you smoke pot.

Lol like I said if I told him why I don't think he would care but he's one of those ppl who is into himself and thinks that everything will give you diabetes 
It probably kills him deep inside that my brother and I smoke cigarettes but he hides that he dips. God for bid if his son smoked a bit of weed for medical purposes.

Well just go to a bar, have a good time, and ask someone that looks cool. Tell them your VA story and whatnot, and they might be sympathetic and hook you up.
People randomly give me shite all of the time. I don't even ask usually. Bars are good places if you aren't awkward. The vast majority of service industry people smoke
