Congrats! Stay with it!

I will. I never had problems with my teeth or gums. My daughter asked me to, so to show her I was strong enough I did it. Put a dip in my mouth and gave her the full can to throw away. I want one every few days just out of habit. I never craved it because of the nicotine. Never got the shakes if I didnt have one. It was just a habit for me. Im going to save $4 a day and buy something nice when I feel I have enough.

I’ll never quit

I understand man! However I quit about 6 months ago. Best decision I ever made. I dipped for 15 years or so. I tried everything and nothing work. Nicotine Patches, Fake Dip, Everything... The only thing that worked for me is the human mind. I told myself stop being a little Bi**ch. I swear to go it worked for me. I was not going to let something control me. Good luck

Dipping is one of the few things left in life I still enjoy
Ironic choice of words.

The greatly increased risk of Throat or Mouth Cancer is nowhere near the reward of some passing enjoyment for rational folks who truly care about their families and friends.

It’s not just the cancer “victim”* who suffers.

*A victim like a person who commits suicide is a victim.

Grizzly straight long cut. But nothing will taste like cope.

only have one on the golf course now. Dipped a can a day back in high school and early college. Idk what's wrong with my parents for allowing it.

My quitting point was when my brother had a skin graph from the roof of his mouth to his gums. He dipped the very next day.

I don't think it's cool. I've quit far worse habits than this but like Walt said it's just something I enjoy. I have no other vices, I don't drink alcohol or do any other drug. I understand the risk involved and I often think about quitting but I just haven't committed to it yet.

I have been dipping for over 30 years. Finally kicked it. Try buying Smokey Mountain Herbal snuff. Start mixing it in with you regular dip. Slowly over time, decrease your regular dip and increase Smokey Mountain. Once 100% Smokey Mountain, you can either quit or continue. You have to get the nicotine out of your system. Took me 2 months, but damn it feels good to kick it.

Back when I chewed if I couldn't get Copenhagen I'd chew Grizzly fine cut natural or straight. I forget which one, but one of them has a similar taste to Copenhagen. The other one has a real sweet taste. I don't remember which is which.

Surprisingly, Kayak Straight is the closest thing to Copenhagen Long Cut Straight I've found. Don't know if there natural is close to original Cope.

Former dipper here. This thread is making me feel a little nostalgic. Not enough to start again, but I sure enjoyed it.

grizzly natural long cut 1922 or whatever it's called with a copper lid is about as close as you'll get to cope long cut.

To everyone that's managed to quit- that's awesome, seriously!

To those that wish to quit but can't yet- I really hope you keep trying. I'm sure it's far more difficult than most people think it is.

To those that continue- I'm sure you have your reasons, but I do hope you eventually have a change of heart and find something else that you enjoy more.
