In Houston, you can have up to four ounces. You will be given a promisary note to show up for court.

Anything over that, you're going to jail.

In Louisiana Revised Statute 40:966 E.(1)(i)

In a nutshell anything less than 14g is a misdemeanor citation/fine of $100.
From about 2019 until i retired I personally didnt mess with a $100 spot to give someone a badtime unless they were absolutely stupid.

ETA: some jurisdictions make it mandatory court appearance to fleece you out of court costs and its robbery IMO

This is entirely State-specific.

If everyone would just eat gummies it would do two things.

1. Police can't smell it.

2. You will not smell like it and everyone you pass by will not have to smell it.

Can police literally arrest you if you have an amount that’s under 2g?

have you ever seen what 4 ounces of cannabis flower looks like? It ain’t fitting in your pocket. I smoke almost every day, there is no reason I can think of why I’d need/want more than 1/2 ounce at a time unless I planned on selling it

When you cross from Arkansas into Missouri (fully legal recreational weed) above Bentonville, there are two weed shops just across the state line. Anyone 21 or over, even nonresidents, can walk in with ID and buy weed legally.

But if you step back across the line into Arkansas:

Cannabis in Arkansas is illegal for recreational use. First-time possession of up to four ounces (110 g) is punished with a fine of up to $2,500, imprisonment of up to a year, and a mandatory six month driver's license suspension.

So dumb.

Gummies suck though… takes too long to kick in, not sure how long it will last, and a different high than smoking

So do the cops sit and wait for customers?

I got some customers in bentonville…. Would be nice to make a quick run if they not going to mess with me across the Arkansas line!

Eat gummies and still show signs of intoxication that can be enforceable as to the intoxication level you are at whether they are legal or not.

Not sure, but there is a billboard on I-49 before you enter MO that warns it is illegal to return to AR with weed purchased in MO.

The weed shops I mentioned are on 71 in Pineville MO, which also features a huge liquor store inside a Walmart.
