If I purchase tires online, will I have a difficult time finding someone to install them if I didn't purchase them from the installer. Thanks

Nope. You will just be charged a mounting and balancing fee.

Ok thanks. That's what I was thinking.

I think paid 20 per tire for mounting and balancing a while back

Costco will mount / balance/ nitrogen fill/ and install for $15 a tire.

Sams is similar to this and Walmart may even be cheaper. Plenty of places will do it.

Would everyone feel comfortable with Sams or Costco installing some hi-performance tires on 20" rims?

I was going to buy tires from sams but they couldn't do an alignment so I passed and went somewhere else.

Do you have a BYOP near you?
Bring Your Own Parts?
Those places are great.

Do you walk into Outback with your own steak and tell them to cook it?

Some places will, a lot will not.
Too many warranty/liability issues.

Plenty others have posted just the opposite of what you have stated - smartass.

Most of the time the site you use to order tires will have an option for you to pick a place near you to do it. I had my tires delivered to a firestone near me. When they got them they called me and scheduled an installation. Very convenient.

I ordered 5 tires for mine. Took them to a local tire shop and they mounted/balanced all 5 and replaced the spare underneath.
No problem.

No but most places will not offer road hazard on them
ETA. I ordered mine from Amazon and had Walmart install them on my daily commuter. Will be going that next time.
For my wife's car that sees mostly roads around town I'll probably shop local for the road hazard policy.
