Wasn't a city councilman. That was the Executive Director of the Sewage and Water Board who retired the morning after the flood but before the council meeting with full pension and benefits. His acting replacement, who was the acting replacement for about 6 hours, took all of the blame and had his career destroyed. Mitch authorized and defended Grant.

Has Grant retired? I thought he announced his retirement but it wouldn't take effect until December.

Isn't his pension like $175,000??

I mean, it makes sense. Fail miserably at your one job, cause millions of dollars worth of damage, collect a 6 figure salary for the rest of your life.
