You would think! But I used to work at a place exactly like I described and ALWAYS dropped it at the door as I walked out. Others did the same. I worked there for four years and they never put a trash can at the door.
I even moved the trash can to the door a few times and the dumbass moved it BACK each time

The bathrooms I usually frequent have attendants for this type of thing.
In all seriousness though. frick bathrooms that don’t even have a stall. Renes bar, which is my spot in downtown thibodaux, is the only place that has a stall with a door. Even Flanagan’s way out by Nicholls had this fricking bullshite semi stall with no door. I worked there though so I didn’t give a shite. So many craps in that place.

I used to be a germaphobe.
Would open the bathroom door with paper towel, and if none then tp, and if none then key from my pocket or my shirt tail if untucked.
I would use a paper towel to pump gas.
And probably a dozen other OCD shite.
One day I realized that none of those germs are going to hurt me and I was just being a gigantic pussy.
Now I grab gas pumps and restroom door handles with abandon. If it is a little sketch I just wipe my hand on the leg of my pants.
No harm no foul.
It is liberating not to go through life worried about a fricking germ on a public surface.
The little things.

My wife dose the paper towel on the handle crap, and is always sick with some type of infection, I have never given a moments thought to what I touch, and have not had any type of infection since I was 7, or a virus in about 30 years. Expose yourself to some bacteria, and strengthen your immune system.
