There’s a lot of issues within teaching, but so many people on here just attack the profession. If you are going to do that, at least know what you are talking about. To say that teachers have zero accountability is just dumb.

This is complete troll. Sure parochial schools hire any soccer mom to teach and suckers think they’re buying a “private school” education. Teaching is a part time job. I’ve taught in 4 states mostly because it allowed me to have a real job on the side.

One chooses a course of study in college knowing future salary of that career. If a good salary is that important to you, Don’t pick that career. Sure as hell don’t complain as if you didn’t know what the salary would be.

They’re willing to work for that salary.

I would love for us to be able to pay them more (well not them really, better more qualified people)

Too much money is spent wasted on social services and entitlement programs and again they are willing to work for this wage so it will never be raised

School systems have a lot of bloated programs that do nothing to help students or teachers
