They don’t do it because they think it looks better. It’s just that they outgrew their shirts and there’s no room for their fat arms.

There is some truth to this. I’ve a cousin who was obese and would always wear sleeveless shirts. It didn’t look good.

About 5 years ago she started losing weight (the right way) and when she dropped weight she started wearing shirts with sleeves again. She said she wore sleeveless shirts because they didn’t hurt her for this reason.

Very sad if you think about it, but totally in one’s control.
