I called this morning also. The rebates in fine print screw you. 3500 if you trade in. 2500 for military. 2500 if you’re a medical professional or teacher. 2500 if you’ve purchased or leased a Chevy within the last three years. So 21k. Rebate goes to 11k. It’s bait and switch. You can get the same rebate without all the bs at your local dealer.

Gotta tell the salesman before you go that if he fricks you over he's going to catch some knuckles.

In all seriousness though, I have bought a car, a truck, and an RV out of state. On all three I had a signed bill of sale in my hand before I left the house to go pick up the vehicle. Computers are great.

I’ve bought one new vehicle out of state and one in state.

The out of state deal was 10x a better experience.

Out of State: Negotiated over phone (new car and trade), paid $100 deposit to reserve new. Received a call from dealer when new vehicle arrived. Showed up, gave them the keys to my trade. They gave me the keys to the vehicle I was about to purchase, test drove it a few miles. Returned from test drive, signed paper work, payed difference of trade and new car with a credit card and returned home with new car. Made an appointment at the DMV, got a plate. si tu finis

Called them after they were supposed to call me back yesterday.

If you don't have the following they add back to the price/reduce rebate:

Chevy Lease $2,500.00
Work in healthcare $2,500.00
Military or 1st Responder $2,500.00
No Trade $2,500.00

So effectively I have none of these... Add $10,000.00 back to the purchase price and I'm better off buying in my home state.

Just thought i'd provide an update from their sales team...

Dealers often have "rentals" for the service department that they turn over frequently. The factory pays the rental fee for warranty work. Nice little profit center.

4 cyliinder automatic crew cab Colorado for under $24K is a pretty good price. My son has the fever BAD....I just sent him a link. Junk fees probably make it about the same price as every other dealer in the US but hope springs eternal....

Anyone have one of those 3.0 diesels?

I have a friend who has a new Silverado ZR2 with it (I think its the 3.0) and he swears he is getting 26-28 MPG. I have no idea if that is possible, its more than GM claims but he may have some sort of tuner in it. He seems satisfied with it. Very nice truck. Cost about what a decent 2 bedroom condo costs in our area....

They claim to be the #1 chevy dealer in the world by volume but I just found this...so who's lying?

For the $21K off the truck, for instance, it says that $16500 of that is available to anyone. The rest is restricted to local residents only.
