It's a great time to adopt/rescue a dog or cat. You have two weeks to bond with and train them and they'll be a great new family member for the rest of their lives.

How do you quarantine and get a new dog/cat?

You cant go out to get them and unless someone is leaving a random dog at your doorstep without talking to you, you wont get one that way either.

I support the idea of adopting a dog or cat though.

It is an excellent idea. I just lost my elderly beagle today.
She was more than likely a "dumped" dog found in my neighborhood years ago

I’ll head to the nearest adoption clinic tomorrow, potentially exposing others.

Fanfrickingtastic idea!

You don't have to make out with anyone at the shelter to adopt. You can do the whole thing from 6 feet away.

Idiot.

Will the government provide me with whatever they eat? Possibly cash to buy these things?

Plus you can use your corona bucks to buy enough food to last him a year.

Maybe? Doesn't matter anyway.

If you have kids, they're home from school for the foreseeable future.

You need this.

So do the dogs and cats.

It's a win win.

Most of the shelters are closed already.

The idea is great, but many are parish run and shut down for a couple weeks.

Was this smart arse comment really necessary? With your attitude, you don’t deserve a pet.

I live with three dogs, a cat, a Guinea pig, and a chameleon*. All but the lizard are rescues. The Vader Nature Preserve for Pathetic and mentally challenged creatures is full.

* None of these creatures are mine.

Some people are barely going to be able to feed and take care of themselves and you want them to bring in an animal?

Love the idea but unfortunately I’m having to retrain these other animals I’ve been raising. Sorry teachers, but I raised gd heathens.
