This is fine if you’re just going to take a piss or get more water or grab a towel or something, but otherwise I ignore the cute placeholders of people supersetting in a crowded gym at 5PM on a weekday.

Adults do this as well. It’s quite irritating that these mindless phone addicts have no awareness of their surroundings.

And for those under 35 do not scroll on your phone for 10 minutes after each rep.

You’re getting crap for this, but for the average gym goer it’s absolutely true. Most people aren’t lifting heavy, short sets.

are you this concerned with other people’s business in real life or is this just a internet schtick?

Someone’s had too much preworkout and it’s made them cranky.

Just kidding, nothing worse than waiting for the squat rack. There never seem to be enough of them.

2 things
First off

new years gym goers

Are so not the only ones doing this

quote:

Don’t camp out on a piece of equipment. Your rest should be no longer than your set. If using the dumbbell area, the benches/seats are not there for you to rest your 200lb gym bag.

Secondly, I’ve never been told no or gruffed at when I’ve asked to work in with someone. I’m almost 50, so probably a hundred times. I realize that means actually talking to someone.

So squatting 135lbs 3x12 is frowned upon in your "expert" opinion?

Bro, if I’m taking a shirtless selfie in front of the dumbell racks gtfo of the background and it’ll take less time, bro.

That’s what we call a “gym douche”. If you’re going to use the restroom, finish all of your fricking sets on whatever machine you’re using and then go. If you go while still having more sets to do, other people will think that you’re done and not using it.
