well, I damn sure wouldn't be going out to start mowing my yard at 8PM....it would just have to look crappy for a day...

sounds to me like this dude just wants you to mow your shite before it starts looking crappy...

I wouldn't say a word and act like I didn't notice that he mowed anything when he finally gets up the nads to mention it to you...

So you're renting and you had a heart attack about the lawn service coming by?

Been mowing my yard since I moved in, about a month and a half ago - and my landlord is a close family friend. He would've told me if he was sending a lawn service.

Plus a lawn service wouldn't mow the border then leave

I used to care about my yard until I had kids.

Kids will frick a yard up.

I pay a Mexican to deal with it now.

Yeah u just have an a-hole neighbor. I'd be irate if one of my neighbors cut my grass, especially if it was his passive way of telling me he thinks it's too long.

I pay my lawn guys to cut my neighbors yard becuse I know if I don't he will never do it himself and let it grow out of control.

I randomly mow one of my neighbors yards when I have time. He is 75 and still cuts it himself. He does a fricking terrible job and he knows it so he's always thankful.

Spray your ditch with roundup and 2-4d and you won't have to worry about it for a while

I think he's telling you in an not so nice way to keep up you yard better. It's a douche move he did. Retaliation is necessary. Find his yard, when he goes to work probably at the local golf course as a lawn man, sprinkle fertilizer all over his yard one day a week for the next month. If you get a good rain in a months time he grass will be so green it will look blue and will be thick as hell. You're welcome.

Maybe he saw it needed to be mowed, needed the exercise, and did it.

Precedent has been set. He has chosen to trim plants in your yard to his liking. Now you can trim plants in his yard to yours.

He is probably just a neighbor that thought he was helping the new neighbor out. Had you not come home and peeked continually out of the window at him he may have finished mowing.

Or you could just burn his yard.

It's way too late in the summer to be laying down fertilizer

It's a sad day in America when riding a lawn mower is considered "exercise"
