I agree with every other thing in your post but I need some cliff notes on your tagline? What does this mean?
I am a crappy self-taught welder that can produce a weld similar in strength to just supergluing the two pieces together. If a pipe welder with a 6G certification has a PhD in welding then I have the equivalent of a first-grade education. It makes no sense to argue with him over the quality of my weld, he forgot more about welding from killing brain cells drinking last Saturday than I will ever know. Just like it makes no sense for me to argue against the vast majority of physicians who chose to get vaccinated. Another analogy would be me telling Joe Burrow how to throw a football.
In the end, I am a simple creature I tend to look to people with subject matter expertise with the same skin in the game as I have, if almost all of them make the same decision I will likely follow them.
