Straight garbage. We bought a German Gundrill with Siemens controls and that thing breaks down all the time.
The other German stuff we have bought or worked with is pretty solid though.

Yep. The new Charger locomotives for Amtrak are straight up lemons. Design flaw shuts down the ECU if any snow gets into the radiator vents. They are lucky if an outbound from Chicago during the winter doesn’t shite itself.

Krupp - the manufacturer of the dreaded 88mm gun in WW2 is now know for coffee makers these days.

Surprised that T-Mobile is not on the list.

Siemens had several factories located on the grounds of Auschwitz & Ravensbruck, to name two, and its use of slave labor was extensive & extremely brutal. Himmler & his SS made millions of dollars off the slaves' labor.

I been to Germany once and was very impressed with the country. The Germans are very disciplined high achieving people.

At one point Krupp was the largest company in Europe and one of the largest in the world. They made everything from battleships to howitzers and panzers for Germany.

Tsunami causes a disaster in a Pacific Rim country (Japan), so a nearly completely Tsunami immune country shuts down nuke power production. Which in turn, helped shutter German manufacturing due to power costs, and screw the German people, but yeah. High achieving. Their leadership is infected with the EU disease. Shift companies to Eastern Europe, or even *gasp* France, which will give up nukes over their cold dead hands.
They could be high achieving but the the World War guilt is ingrained. Guilt. Guilt. Guilt.

I wonder if they are talking about the tool company that is now Festool or the very recent company that makes bird robots etc.
