I use it exclusively.
Two years no carb issues. Was having starting and running issues yearly until the switch.
Two gallons a year is all I need.
Will gladly pay the price xtra

Your blower is a 4 stroke

Not possible, it is in a sealed can, residual solids commonly called "varnish" left in a carburetor are the result of evaporation which cant happen without exposure to the atmosphere. Gasoline will also diminish in its available energy by the evaporation of soluble butanes to the atmosphere. Gasoline stored in a sealed container will remain useable almost indefinitely.

Nah my blower is a 2stroke. I started using that (or trying to) bc damn non ethanol is so hard to find. Just was curious if this was a common problem.

When we were kids we used to get 40 W lube oil from a tank battery gas compressor. Would mix it with .28 cents per gallon Billups gasoline to run in my 6 h.p. outboard motor. I still have the motor and it still runs.

It’s funny because most the mfg test with this stuff.
True fuel was the first one to hit the market.
When they test them they actually run hand held products 5 days a week 8 to 10 hours a day in the field. After a few weeks they take random test by bringing in units and tearing them down or sending some to emissions testing. I been to the testing facilities and they exclusively run truefuel for their test.
When I recommended it to customers I rarely if ever see those units come back for fuel related issues. I have seen a few issues people have 4 strokes that someone put 2 stroke premixed fuel in.
99% of the problems I see with hand held product mowers, riders, and zero turns is with ethanol fuel separating even after using a fuel stabilizer or sticking from fuel stabilizer in the fuel. I would rather people use ethanol it has made me rich and I still make a lot of money off my shops fixing these issues.

Gave up on ALL 2 cycle engines a long time ago...top of the line long run battery equip. is the only way to maintain a regular sized yard !

i have an old echo blower that i've been limping along on gas/oil for several years. it is very cold natured and sometimes just won't run up to full throttle. i switched to trufuel, and it starts every time with little or no choke, and idles immediately. no problems running up to full throttle. it's worth $20 per year not to fight it. chain saw runs much better on it too.

my first outboard was a 1962 johnson 70 (i think). it ran a 16/1 mixture, using 30w non-detergent motor oil.

This is all real simple. stop using ethanol fuels.

Didn’t even know they sold such stuff. Why would you not mix you own? If someone lacks the ability to do this they probably shouldn’t be operating any type of equipment.

that stuff is a ripoff
I can buy a can of it for less than $20 that will last me 2 years or more for my small yard. Or I can try to hunt down some ethanol free gas somewhere near me (can't remember the last time I saw it), hope it has no water in it, mix it, and save maybe $10 over that two years. No thanks. I'll just buy the can.

I use TruFuel in all of my small hand tool motors exclusively and never had any problems. But before it came out I mixed my own and never had any problems with that. I have no “season” my gear runs all year long. Take care of your tools and maintain them and it doesn’t matter which one you use, even ethanol if you run all the time. Having said that I do not buy ethanol gas - I have several non ethanol locations close and run all of my 4 wheelers, mixers, equipment on it as they might sit a bit longer.
Everything else, including lawnmowers, tractors etc...is diesel.

Seems silly to pay that much more for gas.
Get 93 octane ethanol free, put stabilizer in it and mix it yourself.
Very easy to do.
I also write the date I got the gas on a label on the can.

Napoleon nailed it again. 93 octane. Higher octane gas.

that much more
If a few dollars more is that big of a deal to you, you need to get a 2nd job.

It doesn't matter on the engine that much being a low compression.one cylinder. I just find that 93 octane seems to sit better.

I honestly have no idea what it costs and I'm not frugal.
I just remember that canned emergency gas that screwed up cars and was pulled.
I think it's silly to pay extra when you don't need to.
I'll make a u-turn to save 10¢ a gallon for gas on my way to get a $10 grilled cheese sandwich.
It's not the money, but the principal.
I could afford to give a dollar to every bum I see, but I don't like just burning money. Some do.
I'm also set in my ways.
Though I say this and totally forget that we hired a company to cut the grass now. $120 a month, so I can be lazy.
But...if I need two stroke gas, I got 50:1 and 35:1 waiting.

I've mixed my own 2 stroke gas for 30+ years, and over the last 10 years got tired of killing weed eater after weed eater. Even with non ethanol gas. I started buying the premix stuff, and problem solved. All I'm saying. Apparently others in this thread have seen the same performance difference. Don't know what it is, but the shite burns clean as hell.
Now one thing I would definitely watch out for is using stabilizers in your gas for lawnmowers. I damn near killed mine using that garbage. It had some sort of a chemical reaction and gummed up the fuel system.
