He was at the tip top of the political food chain and now he probably can’t get the dog catcher to return his phone calls. Politics is a dirty business.
Just like the past DA, I guess these guys get corrupted and think they can do whatever they want. I was told the audit when the new Sheriff took over turned up a ton of things that, while not technically illegal, would have really upset the taxpayers. Like a nice offshore fishing boat purchased with Katrina funds.

The Strains, like most old St. Tammany power families, have always been shady. It’s inevitable. The first shady thing I remember BooBoo doing was getting a prime piece of trace property for his house for dirt cheap (unpaid taxes) without it coming up for Sheriff’s auction like it should have. This would have been mid 1990's or so. Maybe a little later.

Wowza. What a POS if true. This is kind of a big thing to write based on "sauces". If this comes out to be false, sux the people reporting it dont get penalized.

Fair enough. I don't mean the whole family is shady; just a couple of the ones who had power in St. Tammany. I know Mike Strain is okay.
This is typical St. Tammany politics with the power people. It's been this way as long as I can remember. As far back as the mid-70's when the town elders of Abita wanted my grandfather to run for Mayor. He considered it, but my grandmother laid down the law - it was either her or politics; he couldn't have both. He chose her! She said later she knew St. Tammany politics was shady as shite, and didn't want him involved in it. His role as a school principal was dicey enough as it was with desegregation and other related shite he had to deal with back then.
