As long as your OK with having a sign that says "adulterous hypocrite" next to every single MLK street sign.

Applying that qualifier to male American statesmen throughout history - not least to our current chief executive - would prove immensely burdensome to the signage industry.

you forgot "commie loving"

And this from someone who respects MLK as one of the best things to happen to modern America.

So sad that his message has been diluted and turned into a toxic brew.

I'm so incredibly mad she's kind of removed herself from national politics. I wanted her to run for president.

Absolutely. As long as it goes for every monument including Lincoln's.

Quite an intelligent woman.

I think it so idiotic and typical of some lazy people to judge history through 21 century glasses.

Buddha says forgiveness is letting go of the hope for a better past.
People, for themselves and their own sake need to forgive and embrace the change and progress this country has made. Only then can they help to move this nation to a better place.

Would u be okay with her saying slavery was Americans birth defect? Okay with saying America really became America when we finally upheld our ideals in the 1960s? Okay with her saying there were NO weapons of mass destruction?

1. Freedom of speech baw. She can say whatever she wants.

2. Slavery is a stain on American history. I don't think anyone here is disagreeing with you. More than that, I'm fairly certain that nobody here has any issue with the Civil Rights Movement so I don't see a reason to disagree with her statement there.

3. That shite ended a long time ago. You can keep going back and using it as the reason the growth, education, wealth accumulation of blacks in America has been piss poor at best, but let's be real here... Black president, black Attorney Generals, black Supreme Court Justice, senators and representatives, doctors, lawyers, judges, pilots, entertainers of the highest regard, athletes and Olympians.

At some point in time you need to look at the writing on the wall and realize that there is literally nothing a black person in American can not, or has not done. I'll concede it may be more difficult in some instances because of the stereotypes that exist with black culture, but those exist for a reason.

Just because a statue goes up in 1884 that doesn't give it the divine right to stand forever.

That having been said, if it's going to be taken down it should be done through direct vote of the community, not the city council.

Thank you. I've been trying to understand why the MLK roads aren't going back to their original monikers. It's all about equality, right?

There's a difference between Rice and you. Rice takes pride in her blackness. You've been brainwashed by liberals and victimize your blackness. It's sad.

This woman gets it and wish some way she would be the republican nominee in 2024.

I'd love to see the left's narrative when a black female sweeps the "racist" and misogynist" south.

Ok MLK ...Blvd in every city pretty much stands for Most Likely Killed here....yep, it's usually in the worst area of the city.

And Slavery? What is this you speak of? Since we are erasing history let's just erase that.

There would be no more reason to blame whitey.....
