alabama also claims more championships than they've actually won, so i'm not surprised they claim mardi gras as well. next you'll see, "the philly cheesesteak started in mobile".

On The Rant the question was posed what will happen to the boot trophy if LSU and Arky quit playing each other and someone posted "Bama would claim it"....LMAO

To put it into context, Shreveport and Lafayette both have larger metro populations than Mobile. Shreveport has a 365 ft tall building. Lafayette prob doesn't even have a 200 ft building. Yet, somehow Mobile has a 745 ft building? Gotta be a bad return on investment on that one.

I donot see Airbus, Thyssen Krupp, and soon to be Novelis in any Louisiana city. While we’re at it, any Hyundai or Mercedes plants to speak of?

We can make fun of the RSA tower, that also invested in the RTJ golf trail that Louisiana poorly imitated with the Audubon trail.

Louisiana doesn’t want to pick a fight with just about any state on business development issues.

Before you get too excited, remember Mobile is in Alabama. Tough to overcome that...

Mobile has done a good job making their older high rises look more modern. At least somebody understands a thing or two about visual impressions.

So basically they put lipstick on a pig.

Well done!

But lets get real for a sec. While the bar is rather low, it is the most prosperous southern metro area for its size. It is extremely pro-development/business. The airbus deal alone will drive downstream development for decades. Throw in the eastern shore of Mobile Bay as a great place to raise a family, beaches, and the fact it isn't Pensacola, and what's not to like?

And TWO tunnels, because frick your less than two tunnel town.

Such a diverse, melting pot of a city. Fantastic goody scene with Ruby Tuesdays, Applebees, and TGI Fridays. Really surprised that if you’re over 18, you have kids, or you leave for a bigger city.

There is now a HUGE black eye on Mobile

Prime time Deion Sanders said that he was disgusted with the city of Mobile and Ladd Peebles stadium after their recent game in the Port City this past weekend.

Does anyone know what happened??
