My kid goes to private school. Is this the end as we know it? I have talked to a few friends in the private school setting. We all seem to agree forking over 10000 a year for virtual learning is not conducive. We pinch Penny's and do without a lot for the tuition. What do you guys think?

So send them to public school? This is obviously a temporary thing, you really gonna change your kids' education over it?

I'm not sure what you're getting at. Are you under the assumption that your child will be doing virtual learning in the Fall?

It sucks, but the institution must survive. My boy’s going to go there from 7-12, so one semester of crap will average out.

I’m glad both of mine went to public school and I was able to save over $100k for each of their undergrad/grad school....Let your tax dollars work for you.

Are you saying virtual learning will continue forever? If so, then yes, Private schools are done.

But since virtual learning is only temporary, no, most private schools will continue on.

No one should be pinching pennies for private school.

Enjoy public school.
You know public school shut everything down a month ago, no more learning, virtual or otherwise. Is that what you want for your kids?

Oh, and sorry you have the poors...

I’m happy to pay tuition for distance learning while public school kids are getting nothing.

My gut feeling is this will continue until at least a vaccine is found. I dont forsee us going back to normal until fall of 2021

If the shutdown is kept up til fall 2021, the schools will be the least of our worries.

Well if this is true then there is not going to be a country to go back to. We'll have bigger problems that worrying about private schools.

School will be back in session in the Fall.

I think a lot of folks are going to rethink home schooling. My son is done with his work for the day in 45 minutes. He does it by himself and no one has to tell him to do it. He is self motivated and likes to read so it's not that hard.

On top of that, I was having to tutor him in math in the evenings anyway. I could hire a tutor to just teach him math for a lot less than his private school education costs.

I think a lot of folks are going to be having these same thoughts.

That's very reasonable for private school tuition. I wouldn't bitch.

Hell, let’s do it. Abolish the media, our political system collapses...frick it, we may be better off in the end.
